Dear Hancock Park Elementary friends and families,

As our kids get back to work this school year, it’s on us to step up and support them!

That’s why we hope we can count on you to join our “Scholars, Ready!” Annual Giving Campaign (AGC). This is Hancock Park Elementary’s largest and most impactful fundraiser of the year—and the ONLY where 100% of donations go back to our kids.

What your gift supports
Every dollar funds dynamic and critical programming for our students, like music, art, and science programs; PE through Got Game; field trips, and more!

This year’s goals

  • $250,000 total
  • $1,100 per student suggested donation, to meet rising costs
  • 100% family participation

How to give

  • Contributions from grandparents, aunts, uncles, alumni, neighbors and friends count toward your student’s $1,100.
  • Give any amount—every contribution matters!
  • Park La Brea families: your donation is matched two-to-one (so a $500 gift becomes $1,500)!

Special thanks for donors

  • Families who give (or exceed) $1,100 per student will be invited to a cocktail reception.
  • Those families will also be entered to win a two-night cabin getaway.

Together, we can make this year stronger than ever!

Your FOHPS Annual Giving Parent Volunteer Team

P.S. As this campaign continues throughout the school year, we’ll actively announce and celebrate as we meet milestones that YOU make happen! Stay tuned!

Any issues with your payment or if you'd like to explore other ways to give, please email treasurer@fohps.org

Scholars, Ready! is Hancock Park Elementary's Annual Giving Campaign. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, accounting for approximately 61% of our annual fundraising income. It is our “big ask” of the year where we ask each family to donate so that we can reach our goal.

The goal for the 2024/25 Annual Giving Campaign is $250,000. The goal for the year including all fundraising and matching is $350,000.
A lot of what makes one public school distinguishable from another is the level of parental support and funding they receive to enhance their students’ experience. Our job is to close the gap between a very basic educational experience (one without additional funding) and the educational experience we want our kids to have (one with funding). In order to do that, we must raise funds to supplement our school with the staff, resources, technology and educational opportunities that are not provided for by LAUSD.
The annual giving campaign will run from Wednesday, August 27, 2025 and will end on Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
YES! Friends of Hancock Park School is a 501(c)(3) therefore your donation is a charitable contribution. Our Federal ID number is 95-4112630. After tax savings, your cost for every dollar donated can be less than a dollar!
Corporate matching is a great way to double your donation or to ask a company to match donation funds up to a certain amount (i.e., a corporation might agree to match up to $10,000 of AGC donations). This process usually starts with you, the employer, contacting HR with a request. If this is the first time your company is matching for our school, they may reach out to us for more information which we will HAPPILY provide. Corporate sponsors will receive banner recognition on the Colgate fence.
